TH10 unlocks the Inferno Tower and introduces the first major defensive meta shift. Here are the best TH10 war, farming, and trophy bases for 2026.
Town Hall 10 is widely considered the point where Clash of Clans becomes truly competitive. It unlocks the Inferno Tower β one of the most powerful defenses in the game β and gives attackers access to Golems, Witches, and Lava Hounds. A strong TH10 base can hold against most attacks from same-level players.
What TH10 Unlocks
New Defenses:
- Inferno Tower β can be set to single-target (melts tanky troops quickly) or multi-target (hits many troops for moderate damage)
- Additional Mortar and X-Bow upgrades
- Additional wall sections
New Troops:
- Lava Hound β air tank that explodes into Lava Pups on death
- Witch β spawns skeleton hordes
- Golem β massive HP ground tank
New Spells:
- Skeleton Spell
- Bat Spell
Inferno Tower Placement Strategy
The Inferno Tower is your most important new defense at TH10. Mode matters:
- Single-target mode: Destroys tanky targets quickly β ideal against Golems, Lava Hounds, and Healers
- Multi-target mode: Damages many troops at once β better against swarm attacks and Witch skeleton hordes
In 2026, multi-target mode is generally recommended for TH10 war bases because Super Witch and skeleton-heavy armies are common at this level. Place your Inferno Towers where they can reach the core of any attack, not on the outer perimeter.
Best TH10 War Base Design
For TH10 war bases in 2026:
- Place both Inferno Towers in protected inner compartments
- Centralize the Clan Castle directly next to the Town Hall
- Position X-Bows on ground mode to punish GoWiPe and ground pushes
- Layer walls in 3+ compartments between the outer ring and the Town Hall
- Place paired Giant Bombs along the approach corridors to the Town Hall
TH10 Farming Base Strategy
Dark Elixir becomes extremely important at TH10 β you need it for hero upgrades (Barbarian King and Archer Queen), troop upgrades, and eventually the Grand Warden at TH11.
Protect the Dark Elixir Storage by:
- Placing it in the absolute center of the base
- Surrounding it with both Inferno Towers and high-DPS single-target defenses
- Using the Town Hall as a secondary outer ring protector, not as the innermost building
TH10 Trophy Pushing
For trophy bases at TH10, the Inferno Towers must cover the Town Hall at all times. Place them equidistant from the TH so that any approach is covered by at least one Inferno Tower. Ring bases work exceptionally well at TH10 for this reason.
